Del Valle ISD Testimonial:
The LATT Pitch & Pitchers grant played an essential part in offering violin to our students in Del Valle ISD and our continued vision of a full high school orchestra. We are sincerely grateful as the recipients of this grant and are excited for the future of violin instruction in Del Valle.
With the funding, we expanded the program from two to five elementary schools impacting 60 students – six times more than the previous year. Without the LATT grant, we would not have been able to sustain the two previous violin campuses, and certainly would not have expanded our violin offerings to five campuses. In addition, this year we are writing a proposal for expansion of violin classes for all elementary campus to serve 120 students, with a sustainability plan of expanding to middle schools and then a full orchestra at the high school – the completed original vision!
Nucleus Learning Testimonial:
After winning the Internet Health Prize I got asked to help plan and lead a track at one of the pre MozFest events, MisInfoCon. I also met a ton of amazing folks at MozFest and am now working on some collaborative projects with a librarian based in Charlottesville, VA and an organization called NewsFrames and have been discussing possible projects with academics and organizations based in California, DC, and Massachusetts.
Check out some of articles written about my project at MozFest:
